Privacy Policy
How Drive Oz collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes information when you use the Platform.

1. Scope, Application, and Relationship to Terms of Service
This Privacy Policy describes how Drive Oz, Inc. (“Drive Oz,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes information in connection with your access to and use of the Drive Oz website, platform, mobile applications, artificial intelligence tools, credit application features, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including visitors, registered users, and individuals who submit information through the Platform for vehicle evaluation, financing inquiries, credit applications, or related purposes.
This Privacy Policy forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, the Drive Oz Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings set forth in the Terms of Service.
By accessing or using the Platform, submitting information, or electronically indicating acceptance of this Privacy Policy, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of information as described herein.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms that may be linked to or accessible through the Platform, including independent dealers, lenders, or credit providers, each of which maintains its own privacy practices and policies.
2. Categories of Information We Collect
Drive Oz collects several categories of information in connection with the operation of the Platform, including information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be associated with an individual.
The categories of information we may collect include, without limitation:
(a) Personal Identifiers, such as name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, and government-issued identification information;
(b) Financial and Credit Application Information, including Social Security number, income information, employment details, housing information, and other data submitted in connection with financing or credit inquiries;
(c) Vehicle-Related Information, such as vehicle preferences, trade-in information, usage requirements, and transaction history;
(d) Account and Communication Information, including login credentials, communications with Drive Oz, dealers, lenders, or AI Services, and customer support interactions;
(e) Technical and Usage Information, including device identifiers, IP address, browser type, operating system, session data, and interaction logs; and
(f) Artificial Intelligence Interaction Data, including inputs provided to AI tools and outputs generated by AI Services.
The specific information collected depends on how you interact with the Platform and which features you elect to use, including whether you choose to submit a credit or financing application.
3. Information You Provide Directly to Drive Oz
Drive Oz collects information that you voluntarily provide when you:
(a) create or update an account;
(b) complete vehicle search or evaluation forms;
(c) submit a financing or credit application;
(d) communicate with Drive Oz, dealers, or lenders through the Platform;
(e) interact with AI Services, including Liam AI; or
(f) contact customer support or otherwise communicate with us.
Information provided directly by you may include highly sensitive personal and financial data, including Social Security numbers, which are collected only when you affirmatively choose to submit a credit or financing application.
You represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. Drive Oz may rely on the information you submit without independent verification.
If you choose not to provide certain information, including financial or credit-related information, some Platform features or services may be unavailable to you.
4. Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the Platform, Drive Oz automatically collects certain information related to your device, browser, and interaction with the Platform (“Automatically Collected Information”).
Automatically Collected Information may include, without limitation, internet protocol (IP) address, device identifiers, browser type and version, operating system, referring and exit URLs, date and time stamps, session duration, pages viewed, features accessed, and interaction patterns.
Drive Oz may collect Automatically Collected Information through cookies, web beacons, pixels, server logs, SDKs, and similar technologies. These technologies help us operate, maintain, and improve the Platform, support security and fraud prevention, and analyze usage trends.
Automatically Collected Information generally does not include direct identifiers such as your name or Social Security number. However, such information may be associated with other information you provide if you log into an account or submit forms through the Platform.
You may be able to manage certain cookie preferences through your browser or device settings, but disabling cookies or similar technologies may limit your ability to use certain Platform features.
5. Artificial Intelligence Services and Data Processing (Liam AI)
The Platform includes artificial intelligence-powered tools and features, including “Liam,” Drive Oz’s AI car buying assistant (collectively, the “AI Services”).
When you interact with AI Services, Drive Oz collects and processes information you provide as inputs, such as vehicle preferences, budget ranges, usage needs, questions, and other contextual information (“AI Inputs”).
AI Inputs may be combined with Automatically Collected Information, historical usage data, and Third-Party Data to generate AI Outputs, such as vehicle suggestions, comparisons, estimated payments, or general guidance.
AI Outputs are generated algorithmically and are not reviewed or approved individually by Drive Oz prior to being displayed. AI Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances.
AI Inputs and AI Outputs may be stored, analyzed, and used by Drive Oz to:
(a) operate and provide the AI Services;
(b) improve, train, refine, and evaluate AI models and Platform functionality;
(c) detect misuse, abuse, or security risks; and
(d) comply with legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations.
Drive Oz does not use AI Services to make final credit decisions or lending determinations. Credit decisions are made solely by third-party lenders based on their independent criteria.
You should not submit information to AI Services that you do not wish to be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Submission of AI Inputs is voluntary.
6. How We Use Information
Drive Oz uses the information it collects for legitimate business and operational purposes consistent with the operation of a vehicle marketplace and financing facilitation platform.
The purposes for which we use information include, without limitation:
(a) providing, operating, maintaining, and improving the Platform and its features;
(b) facilitating connections between users, dealers, and lenders;
(c) processing vehicle inquiries, transactions, and delivery coordination;
(d) processing financing and credit applications, including transmitting information to lenders and credit partners;
(e) operating and improving AI Services;
(f) communicating with you regarding your account, inquiries, transactions, or support requests;
(g) detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, misuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity;
(h) complying with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations; and
(i) enforcing the Terms of Service and other Platform policies.
Drive Oz may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence purposes. Such information does not reasonably identify you as an individual.
Drive Oz does not use Social Security numbers or other sensitive financial information for marketing or advertising purposes.
Drive Oz may use mobile telephone numbers provided by users to send customer-care or one-to-one text message communications related to Platform usage, account activity, applications, or transaction coordination. Message and data rates may apply, and users may opt out at any time as described in the Terms of Service.
7. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
Drive Oz shares information only as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, facilitate vehicle and financing-related services, comply with legal obligations, and protect the rights and security of Drive Oz and its users.
Categories of recipients with whom information may be shared include, without limitation:
(a) independent motor vehicle dealers in connection with vehicle inquiries, availability, pricing, delivery, and transaction coordination;
(b) third-party lenders, financing partners, credit reporting agencies, and related service providers in connection with financing or credit applications;
(c) service providers and vendors that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, data storage, analytics, customer support, identity verification, fraud prevention, and security services;
(d) professional advisors, including legal, accounting, and compliance professionals, as necessary to support our business operations; and
(e) governmental authorities, regulators, or law enforcement agencies where required by law or where Drive Oz reasonably believes disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
Drive Oz does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, certain disclosures may be considered “sharing” under applicable privacy laws.
Drive Oz may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you for analytics, reporting, or business purposes.
All third parties receiving information from Drive Oz are expected to handle such information in accordance with applicable law and their own privacy practices. Drive Oz does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent dealers, lenders, or third parties.
8. Dealers, Lenders, and Credit-Related Disclosures
If you submit a financing or credit application through the Platform, you expressly authorize Drive Oz to collect, store, and transmit your personal and financial information, including Social Security number, to third-party lenders, financing partners, credit reporting agencies, and related service providers for the purpose of evaluating creditworthiness and facilitating financing offers.
Credit decisions, approvals, denials, interest rates, and financing terms are determined solely by third-party lenders based on their independent criteria. Drive Oz does not control and is not responsible for such determinations.
Third-party lenders and credit partners may maintain your information in accordance with their own privacy policies, retention practices, and regulatory obligations. You are encouraged to review the privacy policies of any lender or dealer with whom you choose to transact.
Drive Oz may receive information from lenders or credit partners regarding the status or outcome of your credit application, which may be used to facilitate communication, improve Platform functionality, or comply with legal obligations.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit or replace any disclosures, authorizations, or notices provided to you in connection with a credit application, including disclosures required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) or other applicable law.
9. Data Retention
Drive Oz retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating the Platform, facilitating transactions, complying with legal and regulatory obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.
Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the information, the purposes for which it was collected, and applicable legal requirements. Certain information, including financial and credit-related data, may be retained for longer periods where required by law or to support compliance, audit, or risk management obligations.
When personal information is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, Drive Oz will take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or otherwise securely dispose of such information in accordance with its data retention practices and applicable law.
Drive Oz does not commit to deleting information upon request where retention is required or permitted by law, necessary for legitimate business purposes, or required to protect Drive Oz’s legal rights.
10. Data Security Practices
Drive Oz implements commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
These safeguards may include access controls, encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest, monitoring and logging, role-based access limitations, and security awareness practices; however, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You acknowledge that the transmission of information via the internet and electronic storage of data involve inherent risks. Accordingly, Drive Oz does not guarantee the absolute security of information and disclaims liability for unauthorized access or use to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for taking reasonable steps to protect your devices and networks from unauthorized access.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to access, correct, or update certain information associated with your account.
You may update or correct certain account information by accessing your account settings or contacting Drive Oz, subject to verification of your identity.
You may choose not to provide certain information; however, doing so may limit your ability to access specific features of the Platform, including financing or credit-related services.
Drive Oz may decline requests that are unreasonable, impracticable, prohibited by law, or that would compromise security, legal compliance, or the rights of others.
Communications preferences, including marketing communications, may be managed through account settings or by following unsubscribe instructions where applicable. Transactional and legally required communications may continue regardless of marketing preferences.
12. State-Specific Disclosures (California Residents)
If you are a resident of the State of California, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”), subject to applicable exceptions and limitations.
During the preceding twelve (12) months, Drive Oz may have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy for the business and commercial purposes described in Section 6 of this Privacy Policy.
Certain information collected by Drive Oz, including Social Security numbers and financial information submitted in connection with credit or financing applications, may constitute “Sensitive Personal Information” under the CCPA. Drive Oz collects and uses such information solely for permitted business purposes, including facilitating financing requests, complying with legal and regulatory obligations, preventing fraud, maintaining security, and operating the Platform.
Drive Oz does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Drive Oz may share personal information with dealers, lenders, service providers, and other third parties as described in this Privacy Policy for legitimate business purposes, including facilitating vehicle purchases, financing inquiries, and Platform operations.
Subject to applicable law, California residents may have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about them, the purposes for which such information is collected or used, and the categories of third parties with whom such information is shared.
Subject to applicable law and applicable exceptions, California residents may have the right to request deletion or correction of personal information collected by Drive Oz.
Requests to exercise rights under the CCPA may be submitted by contacting Drive Oz at legal (at) Driveoz.com. Drive Oz will verify your identity before processing any request and may request additional information for verification purposes.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. Drive Oz may require proof of authorization and verification of identity before processing such requests.
Drive Oz will not discriminate against any individual for exercising rights afforded under the CCPA.
13. Children’s Information
The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18), and Drive Oz does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If Drive Oz becomes aware that personal information of a child has been collected inadvertently, Drive Oz will take reasonable steps to delete such information in accordance with applicable law.
14. Third-Party Practices; Advertisers; External Websites
The Platform may contain links to, integrations with, or advertisements for third-party websites, services, products, or platforms, including independent dealers, lenders, advertisers, and other third parties that are not owned or controlled by Drive Oz.
This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Drive Oz through the Platform. It does not apply to information collected by third parties, including when you interact with third-party websites, applications, advertisements, or services, whether accessed directly or through links or advertisements on the Platform.
Drive Oz does not control, and is not responsible for, the privacy practices, data collection methods, data security practices, content, or policies of any third-party website, advertiser, dealer, lender, or service provider.
Any information you provide directly to third parties, including through advertisements, external links, or third-party platforms, is governed by the applicable third party’s privacy policy and terms, and not by this Privacy Policy.
The inclusion of any advertisement, link, or reference to a third party on the Platform does not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or representation by Drive Oz regarding such third party or its privacy practices.
You acknowledge and agree that Drive Oz shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, misuse, or unauthorized disclosure of information arising from your interactions with third parties or their websites, platforms, or services.
15. Updates to This Privacy Policy
Drive Oz reserves the right to update, modify, or amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in business practices, Platform functionality, legal or regulatory requirements, or risk management considerations.
Updates will be posted on the Platform with a revised “Last Updated” date. Except where required by applicable law, Drive Oz is not obligated to provide individualized notice of changes.
Your continued access to or use of the Platform after the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of and consent to the revised Privacy Policy.
